They will be hosting eventsÂ throughout the month of February to highlight ItalyÂ as THE place to go to experience enogastronomicÂ travel and to learn about healthful sustainableÂ eating. You will spend the evening immersed inÂ Italian food and wine culture with a slideshow,Â Italian music and tons of tips for planning yourÂ next trip to Italy. The knowledgeable andÂ entertaining duo will serve up fresh, authenticÂ Tuscan cooking classes accompanied by hand-Â selected fine Italian wines, and take you on aÂ journey to Italy without ever leaving the premises.
Each event will be tailor-made and will includeÂ either a cooking demonstration or hands-onÂ cooking class. The cooking portion will highlightÂ simple, delicious dishes using local, freshÂ ingredients. The wine portion will include wineÂ tasting games and activities as well as moreÂ traditional wine tasting know-how and informationÂ about organic and biodynamic wines in Italy.
The festive atmosphere will be complete as yourÂ hosts take you on a virtual vacation to Italy, andÂ help you to start planning a visit to the undisputedÂ king of food and wine culture. Filippo Bartolotta is aÂ wine journalist, writingÂ for major European andÂ American wineÂ publications such asÂ Decanter Magazine andÂ serving as the editor forÂ the bestsellingÂ Lâ€™Espresso Italian Wine Guide (English version).Â He also teaches about wine at the prestigiousÂ University of Siena and hosts countless wineÂ events each year in Italy and abroad.
