Revealing an undiscovered side of Tuscany while promoting green tourism: this is the goal of a new initiative put forward by Arsia and a team of public agencies. They have proposed reopening ancient sheperdseuro paths to tourists.These paths, far from the pavement and smog of the roads and highways, cross the most beautiful lands in Tuscany and pass through its most suggestive cities: Siena, Arezzo, Grosseto, Firenze. The trails once followed by sheperds and their flocks are now perfect for hiking and relaxing horseback riding. A logistic infrastructure has also been put into place to welcome tourists.Naturally, as with all lands explored in this most ancient of modes of transportation, there are foods, wines and a variety of flavors to taste during these splendid walking tours in Tuscany.
