Your long weekend in Rome is intended to allow you to relax and enjoy your weekend while Le Baccanti handles the details. Your three-day getaway will be filled with top-quality culinary experiences and treats, fine locally-produced wines, and interaction with our delightful partners in the city. You will enjoy the wine-bar scene along with a highly specialized, personable local guide to show you the ropes, and experience a completely different approach to regional wines on your full-day tour through the Frascati wine-producing regions outside Rome. You will also have a chance to whet your culinary appetite with a marvelous cooking course with a private expert chef in a beautiful Roman home in the city center.
Day 1 - Arrival in Rome & Rome Wine-Tasting Walk
Arrival at your charming 4-star hotel in Rome, a location selected particularly for their wonderful client service, inviting decor, and excellent location in the historic city center of Rome. You will be checked-in for 3 nights in a Superior-level room(s). We have also included the single supplement in groups with odd numbers of participants to avoid any surprise additional surcharges.
Your day continues with an afternoon Rome Wine-Tasting Walk. You will meet with your expert local guide who will lead you through an exploration of a selection of Rome's finest local winebars. Enjoy some snacks in each tasting session, and get an insider glimpse into the best, most authentic wine bars in the city center. Your guide will be happy to provide you with excellent dining recommendations should you wish to continue your evening in this magical city.
Day 2 - Frascati Wine Tour
Your second day in Rome will begin when your private English-speaking driver retrieves you from your hotel, and takes you out into the countryside outside of Rome for your full-day wine tour exploring the Frascati wine region. Your itinerary will include time for a self-guided visit to either the Tivoli Gardens or Hadrian's Villa, both stunning examples of Roman history just outside of the city. Your day also includes two visits to Frascati wine estates, both with spectacular cantinas and tours through the property as led by winery owners or qualified winery staff members. All tours and visits will be in English, or when possible, the language of your choice. You will also enjoy a delicious lunch in a nearby trattoria, and taste the wonderful regional red, white and sparkling wines before you head back to Rome at the end of your day.
Day 3 - Private cooking course with professional chef
Your last day with Le Baccanti will be spent in the company of a wonderful private chef on this delightful private cooking course. The course is held in a private Roman home, and will feature the best, freshest local ingredients as your chef walks you through the preparation of a full multi-course meal, focusing on regional delicacies and reinterpretations of classic Roman cuisine. After your lesson, you'll be seated for your meal of prepared dishes, all thoughtfully paired with excellent local wines, water, and coffee.
You will have the remainder of the day at your disposal prior to your departure, relative to your eventual departure time. Please note that check-out times from the majority of hotels is in the morning, although you will likely be able to leave any small luggage with your hotel during your last day in Rome.
