With so very many culinary products to select, entrusting Le Baccanti with the handling and organization of your long weekend escape is a guarantee to ensuring a relaxing, memorable weekend in one of the most picturesque parts of the country. Your chefs and food experts will lead you through an itinerary built exclusively around locally-produced specialties produced, and you’ll learn the difference fresh, organic ingredients can make.
Our long weekend package can be scheduled for you at any point during the year, and we're happy to work with you to find the perfect dates. We would be happy to provide you with recommendations and suggestions on our personal favorite ways to experience Tuscany.
Our weekend getaway will provide you with just enough structure on your weekend to have activities planned, but plenty of free time to guarantee you don't feel like every minute of your weekend is already planned. We can ensure a three-day weekend filled with relaxation, rebooting time and rejuvenating experiences. Le Baccanti will think of all the details, and ensure that you learn about wonderful new food and wine as you relax during your cooking lessons and food tours, and that you will create memories of a lifetime during your short break here in Italy.
Day 1 - Arrival in Florence
Arrival at your charming 4-star hotel in Florence, a location selected particularly for their wonderful client service, inviting decor, and excellent location in the historic city center of Florence. You will be checked-in for 3 nights in a Superior-level room(s). We have also included the single supplement in groups with odd numbers of participants to avoid any surprise additional surcharges.
If your booking includes an odd-number of participants, you will receive double rooms (can be a queen-size or two twin-size beds,) and one single room for the last person.
Your day continues when you will meet with your local English-speaking food and wine expert who will lead you on your personalized Wine and Gourmet Food Walk through Florence’s exciting historic city center. Your guide, who has ample experience seeking out the finest of Florence’s terrific selection of gourmet products, will be able to guide you through the overwhelming quantity of top-notch gourmet shops specializing in locally-produced goodies. Depending on your scheduled tour, there could be tastings of seasonal delicacies, and in-house special products. You will also enjoy a wine-tasting in a locally-owned and run wine bar specializing in Tuscan wines.

Day 2 - MaMa Florence Joinable Cooking Class
Your second day will begin with your arrival at MaMa Florence, the delightful cooking school located in the historic city center of Florence. This accommodating space with wonderful resident chefs will lead you through the preparation of a full 4-course traditional (and modern) Italian meal. Depending on your preferences, the course can include a menu featuring handmade fresh pasta, pizza, meat and poultry dishes, or delicious fresh seafood. The following seated meal will be composed of your prepared dishes, alongside carefully paired wines pairings, water and coffee. The courses are generally joinable, and provide an excellent learning opportunity in a welcoming, engaging environment.
Once your cooking course concludes around 2:30pm, you will have the remainder of the afternoon free to explore Florence, or other parts of Tuscany if you wish to venture outside of the city.
Day 3 - Private Cooking Class with Amazing Home Chef
Your last day with Le Baccanti will begin with a wonderful private cooking course with a enthusiastic home chef. Your class includes preparation of a full 4-course meal, which will then be served as your lunch. Your chef will be a genuine Italian nonna, with wonderful warmth and charisma. Flanked by an English-speaking interpreter, your chef will pass on her knowledge of making superb local Florentine dishes with a special Southern Italian flair showing her original Sicilian roots.
You will enjoy a seated meal together with your chef, following your cooking course, and will enjoy paired local wines, water and coffee.
Once your cooking experience on this third day has wrapped up, you will be free to spend a little time shopping and exploring the historic city center of Florence. You might want to take this time to be sure to extend your food and wine experience by doing a little searching for regional delicacies to bring back to your friends and family.
Please note that check-out times from the majority of hotels is in the morning, although you will likely be able to leave any small luggage with your hotel during your last day in Florence.
