All brilliant. See you again for the grape vendemmia!
On Saturday we were picked up at our hotel for our Amarone Wine Tour. Perfect car & perfect driver :) He took us to our first winery, an exciting place and completely new experience for all of us. We had enough time to both look around inside and taste their wonderful wines. The lunch at the restaurant you booked was excellent and we also had time for a little sightseeing in the picturesque village before we moved on to the next winery, another fantastic experience. Alessandra gave us a tour both outside and inside and then guided us through a lovely winetasting of their excellent wines. A fantastic place, wonderful people, perfect wines and at the same time a very relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Perfect! -Kathrine M, Norway

Your full-day Amarone Wine Tour begins when your friendly, English-speaking private driver greets you at your accommodations, and you'll be off to visit your first Amarone winery of the day. The winery is one of the region's finest, and is housed in a magnificent historic villa on extensive, lush grounds. Your visit will include a look into the villa's beautifully frescoed rooms, wine cellar, and the special grape-drying rooms. The visit will conclude with an expertly-led guided tasting by a winery expert of the locally-produced exquisite Amarone and other Italian red wines.
You'll be able to continue your enjoyment of the local atmosphere and tasty traditional food in a wonderful characteristic restaurant. After your meal, your Amarone Wine Tour continues with a second top-quality winery specializing in Amarone and other Italian red wines. At this winery you will learn even more about the secrets of Amarone, and taste the estate's wines accompanied by an expert wine guide. You'll be able to compare and contrast the intense aromas and flavors of Amarone di Valpolicella.
The Valpolicella valley is famous for its red wines, particularly the full-bodied, purple and ruby-hued Amarone di Valpolicella. A special technique helps Amarone wines stand out from other Italian reds: before fermentation, the best quality Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes are harvested and left to air-dry for four months in special drying rooms. In the hands of masterful, skilled winemakers, this extra step results in Amarone's unique features, including incredibly deep colors, intense flavors, and very smooth tannins.
