We found the Antinori winery to be absolutely fascinating, and a tour well-worth the effort of planning. The location is spectacular, and the new buildings are truly worth seeing. We had a lunch scheduled following the tour of the Antinori cellar at Osteria di Passignano, which just added to our level of satisfaction with this tour. An immense day, thank you for helping us plan it all out.

Your full-day Antinori Wine Tour exploring the Chianti Classico wine region begins when your private English-speaking driver with luxury vehicle collects you from your accommodations in Florence or Siena. You will head into the gentle, rolling hills covered with vineyards in the heart of the Chianti Classico region.
Your first stop will be to the newest Antinori winery in the heart of Chianti Classico, where wines like Villa Antinori, Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva, Pèppoli Chianti Classico and Vinsanto del Chianti Classico are produced. During your Antinori Wine Tour, you'll visit the stunning new winery created by the Archea Associati architectural studio and the Hydea engineering firm over a period of seven years.
Your full-day Antinori Wine Tour will include a visit to the new Antinori winery, viewing of the cellar and a tasting of three Antinori wines. After your winery tour, we can book lunch for you in Rinuccio 1180, or we can organize a lunch at Osteria di Passignano, a Michelin-starred restaurant 30 minutes away on another nearby Antinori estate. During both lunches, it will be possible to continue your Antinori Wine Tour experience by ordering other Antinori wines such as the Super Tuscan Tignanello or Solaia.
After lunch, your Antinori Wine Tour will continue as your private driver will accompany you to a charming Chianti village where you will have time to experience the local laid-back atmosphere. You'll certainly want to check out the Tuscan food and wine shops specializing in Antinori and other special Chianti wine producers before heading back to your accommodations in either Florence or Siena. This is the ideal way to experience the Chianti countryside, innovative architecture and Antinori's world-class wines!
Not only is the new Antinori winery a place for creating fantastic Chianti Classico wine, but it also houses a fascinating museum describing the long, significant history of the Antinori family. Antinori is a wine-producing family spanning countless generations.
The Antinori wine cellar was built to produce the minimal carbon footprint possible, and save the maximum in energy output. The building was constructed using natural materials like terracotta, wood, corten (an alloy of steel and copper), and glass.
To further establish harmony within this Chianti landscape, the entire area surrounding the Antinori wine estate is dedicated exclusively to locally-thriving vineyards, growing mainly Sangiovese but also Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Colorino, Malvasia Nera, Mammolo, and a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes.
The new restaurant, Rinuccio 1180, serves delicious, typical Tuscan fare and the glass-paneled sides allow you to literally dine among the surrounding vineyards.
This culinary experience is one that cannot be reproduced in any other location worldwide, and will help you create memories lasting a lifetime on your stay in Tuscany.
SPECIAL NOTE: We strive to ensure private visits at the wineries. In particularly busy times of the year, or in certain wineries this may not always be possible. If you would like guaranteed private visits, please get in touch for a customized quote.
