Your half-day cooking class will be held in an amazing private villa in the beautiful Chianti countryside so close to the historic city center of Florence, with only a 30 minute drive separating the two areas. Your half-day hands-on cooking lesson will take place in the incredible kitchen of the lovingly restored historic 17th-century villa on an important and highly-regarded wine and olive oil producing estate.
Your culinary lesson outside of Florence, also accessible from a Siena departure point, will begin in the morning when you'll meet your English-speaking winery guide for a tour of the villa's cantina and extra-virgin olive oil storage rooms. During your tour, your expert winery guide will impart some of the estate's long history, and explain the villa's wine and extra-virgin olive oil productions methods.
Your tour will conclude in the estate’s enormous kitchen where you will meet the English-speaking Chef Laura to begin your highly-anticipated cooking lesson. The cooking class features traditional Tuscan and Florentine dishes and led by a seasoned professional English-speaking chef.
Your cooking class starts with an introduction to handmade pasta, where you'll learn the art of pasta-making, and how to create the proper sauces for each different pasta shape. Next up will be a meat dish like meatballs or veal cutlets. To finish, you will learn how to make a delicious typical Florentine dessert such as cantucci or tiramisu.
After your cooking lesson, you will have a chance to feast on the delicious dishes you have prepared together with your chef, accompanied by top-rated wines from the villa's estate and their extra-virgin olive oil. This special cooking lesson with wine tastings and olive oil tasting would be the perfect addition to a food-based holiday in Italy.

Transportation to the villa at the winery is not included. The estate is located approximately 30 minutes from downtown Florence, and just under one hour's drive from Siena.
