The winery is one of the region's finest, and is housed in a magnificent historic villa on extensive, lush grounds. Your visit will include a look into the villa's beautifully frescoed rooms, wine cellar, and of course the special grape-drying rooms. The visit will conclude with a guided tasting of the winery's exquisite Amarone and other estate wines. A Bit of Background on Amarone The Valpolicella valley is famous for its red wines, especially the dense, full-bodied, and purple-ruby red Amarone di Valpolicella. A special technique makes Amarone stand apart from other Italian reds: before fermentation, the best quality Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes are harvested and then left to air-dry for four months in special drying rooms.
