Your English-speaking expert local guide will meet you in a central Rome location, and you will set off together to experience the classic Rome you have seen in movies. As you wind through the Roman streets, you will turn a corner and be suddenly presented by one of the most famous fountains in the world, the Fontana di Trevi. The Trevi Fountain is a breathtaking, enormous sculpture in dazzling white marble. As the legend goes, if you toss a coin in the fountain you will be sure to return to Rome! Your exploring continues through wonderful Piazza Navona where your expert guide will explain Bernini's Four Rivers fountain at the center. Next stop is the Montecitorio, seat of the Italian Parliament. Your guide will be happy to fill you in on the drama that constitutes current and past Italian politics (Italy has more than 20 political parties!). Not to be missed is the widest, best knows staircase in Europe the Spanish steps (there are over 130 of them!) in the famous Piazza di Spagna.
