Tuscany has an incredible number of wonderful organic and biodynamic wineries, some of whom have always been organic because they use traditional Tuscan growing techniques and never switched to “conventionalâ€� farming when pesticides gained popularity 50 years ago. Others have decided out of environmental concerns or personal beliefs to switch to organics as a way of helping the environment. Either way, Tuscany today has dozens of organic and biodynamic growers and vintners who are growing grapes and making incredible natural wines. Your private full day wine tour begins in the morning when your driver picks you up at your hotel in either Florence or Siena. You are off through the stunning hills of Tuscany, between hilltop towns and hidden valleys to experience green wine. Your first stop is well known Chianti winery set on a beautiful expansive estate that has been organic for years! You will have a chance to tour the winery, see the cantina and then taste their delicious wine. Your second stop of the day is a charming little-known Tuscan village, with its food and gourmet shops. Here you will have a chance to dine in a delicious local trattoria which sources local foods for their creative, delectable dishes. After lunch it is on to your second winery of the day: a small boutique winery (less than 10,000 bottles a year- some of the big producers make over 1 million!) that grows it grapes and creates its wine based on biodynamic principles (a sort of organic plus!). Learn about the wineries techniques and taste their wines as you soak in the relaxing atmosphere. Your day is finished when your driver returns you to your hotel, but we are sure you will never think of wine in the same way again.   What's Included in Your Organic Tuscan Wine Tour Travel by Mercedes or equivalent level car or minibus with an English-speaking driver (approx. 7 hours).
