A guide well versed in Florentine art, culture and history will reveal to you some very special artisan shops and workshops, according to your interests.
Not many of Florence’s skilled old-world craftsmen and artisans are left by now, so visits to their fine workshops are extremely worthwhile but require advance consultation.
Among the spots we visit are the world's oldest known surviving pharmacy, the leather workshops, and a 19th century paper shops with their intriguing old machinery. You may explore a renowned goldsmith's workshop, or studios devoted to art, furniture or carpet restoration. No less interesting are the bronze casters and artisanal woodcarvers.
Of course we would not let you overlook local culinary points of interest on the way....
