CANTINE DEIThe Dei wine estate is divided into four vineyards: Bossona, Martiena, La Ciarliana and La Piaggia. The soil and the exposition is perfect for the production of Vino Nobile. The soil of the vineyards where the Nobile grapes grow has different characteristics: in Martiena it is medium-textured, while in Bossona, where the winerieeuros cru is produced, the soil is tufaceous, slimy and quite barren. The winery produces Vino Nobile di Montepulciano with the typical grapes of the region: Prugnolo Gentile, Canaiolo Nero and Mammolo. Shoot thinning and a selective pruning of grape bunches limit the average production per hectare.
