In November and December the fresh new olive oil is celebrated all over Italy with festivals, tastings and events. In Tuscany alone there is an incredible number of opportunities for gourmet tourists to taste freshly-pressed olive oil: there are the festivals Prim'olio in Bagno a Ripoli, Tempo dell'Olio in Sarteano; Pane e Olio in Rosignano Marittimo, and Olio per Olio in Grosseto.These events fill up the piazzas and squares of Tuscanyeuros small towns and villages. The rich and spicy scent of new olive oil fills the air.
