Some landscapesset their own pace.

Cool air on the Seceda ridge. Meadows on the way down. Speck sliced at the farm where it is made.

Here, the days follow the mountains. Private guides walk with you along the Seceda ridge and around the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, explaining the geology of the peaks and their history in the First World War. In between: woodcarvers in Ortisei, a cheese producer’s table, a speck farm in Alta Badia, a morning on a via ferrata or above the peaks by helicopter.

The final days turn south to Trentino. Taste Trentodoc at a winery near Trento, then settle on the northern shore of Lake Garda, where a private boat takes you to Limone sul Garda and Malcesine.
